Lemon Herb Roasted Chicken

(photo coming soon)

Today, for the first time I am making Lemon Herb Roasted Chicken. I'm a little nervous about washing the inside of the chicken during preparation. I actually planned on marinating the chicken all night, but couldn't get over that part.

LOL, the princess in me. (I'm learning)

Well, here is the recipe for you to get started...if you're ready for deliciousness!

Ingredients
3 to 4 pounds roasting chicken
1/4 cup onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter
juice of one lemon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon paprika

Directions
1. Place the onion in the cavity of the chicken and rub the skin with butter.
2. Place chicken in slow cooker.
3. Squeeze lemon juice over chicken and sprinkle with remaining seasonings.
4. Cover; cook on Low 8-10 hours or High 4-5 hours.

Breakfast Cobbler Crockpot Recipe

A tasty crock pot breakfast recipe that can be made the night before in the crock pot. Wake up and breakfast is ready!
Ingredients

4 medium-sized apples, peeled and sliced
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup honey
2 cups granola cereal
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions

Place the apples in the crock pot, then add in the remaining ingredients. Stir just a bit.

Cover and cook on low overnight for 8 hours or on high for 3 hours. Serve any time during the morning hours for a delicious, unique, warm breakfast.

This is a really tasty dish and it could also be used as a delicious dessert. For breakfast, I would recommend serving it with yogurt and berries. After dinner, this would be delicious with ice-cream.
